Certification credits
Exams are paid for in credits.
- Any exam
- Can be used for any 3DEXPERIENCE certification exam, regardless of product, brand or role.
- Two attempts
- Includes two attempts. A failed first attempt can be retaken after 14 days, at no extra cost.
- Packs for education
- Academic institutions and training organizations can benefit from special pricing for credit packs of 100, 300 or 900, shared across the institution.

- Finish the official online course related to the exam you are taking first, then practice using the exercises
- Set the software to the same language as the exam
- Work on two screens: the exam on one, the software on the other
- Check units, precision and materials before you start

What people ask before booking an exam.
What is a certification credit?
Certification credits are how exams are paid for. A credit is consumed when an exam is taken, and the same balance can be spent on any exam in the catalogue. We supply credits whether or not you license software through us.
Do I have to be a LaunchTech customer?
No. Credits and exam sittings can be arranged through us whether or not you license your software with us.
How much preparation do I need?
Associate exams require the official course the exam is written against. Professional exams require the same course, plus around three months of regular hands-on practice in the software.
Does a certification expire?
Dassault Systèmes publishes no expiry period and the badges carry no expiry date. Each exam does state the minimum software release it is written against.
Which certifications can I take?
The catalogue runs to well over a hundred roles across CATIA, DELMIA, ENOVIA, SIMULIA, GEOVIA and the 3DEXPERIENCE® platform, and Dassault Systèmes revise it every release. Tell us the role and the software and we will name the one that matches.
Is there a certification for Abaqus, CST Studio Suite or BIOVIA?
Not currently. SIMULIA certification covers the 3DEXPERIENCE® structural roles only. We train on Abaqus, CST, Isight, Tosca, fe-safe, Simpack, XFlow and the BIOVIA products, and those courses end in a course certificate rather than a Dassault Systèmes certification.
